Join Gary’s Service as an experienced 310S Auto Technician!

Gary’s Service, in Keswick, opened in 1984 and is family owned and operated. We are a trusted auto service centre in Keswick and area, that prides ourselves with happy customers, competitive rates and an unmatched work/life balance.

 

We have an opening for an experienced (minimum 2 years) Auto Technician.

 

As a part of our team, you will be prepared to interact with other team members and customers and explaining work details and maintaining high-quality standards, your role is crucial in upholding the reputation of our shop.

 

Salary: Based on experience $30/hour to $36/hour

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm. Weekends and holidays off.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Vehicle Inspection
    Test drive vehicles with customers to confirm issues, and work with technicians to prepare digital inspections, including photos, videos, and reports.
  • Quality Control
    Ensure that repairs meet high standards through regular check-ins with service advisors and performing test drives as necessary.
  • Additional Duties as Required
    Working with team members to ensure that working areas are clean to prevent workplace accidents

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience.
  • 310S Automotive Service Technician Certificate.
  • Knowledge of automotive systems, particularly domestic and import brands, is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage volume work.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional appearance and strong work ethic.
  • Valid drivers license with clean abstract.

Duties and Skills

  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on building relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of automotive repair processes and terminology.
  • Mechanical knowledge to understand vehicle issues and communicate effectively with service advisors.
  • Assess customer needs and recommend appropriate automotive services.
  • Provide detailed explanations of services and repairs to customers.
  • Maintain a clean and organized service area.
